Won a TV... I think.

Hi,
After a little advice.
Went to an open day for a national company at a local office on 6th March. When you signed in you were entered into a free prize draw to win a TV. There were various prizes from a 19" LCD to top price of 55" 3d LED TV.
Thought nothing of anything then had a call Weds 16th March. Said I had won a TV, thought great. Then advised I have won the top prize! Was very shocked, this doesnt happen to me! All very reassuring over the phone and had to repeat to me a few times it was definately true.
Asked when would be best to arrange delivery, was off that week so asked for Thursday. Waited in all day Thursday, but nothing.
Managed to get hold of them on the Friday and they said someone would contact me later that day or Monday.
Never heard anything until the following Wednesday saying there was an issue with the TV and they were going to sort another out. They would be in contact later that day or Thursday. Heard nothing so callled on the Friday and was advised no update, they would call me when they have any new info.
I have not heard anything back this week yet, and dont feel I want to keep badgering them about it. It is after all something I didnt have and a bonus that I have won, but Im just a little concerned how long it is taking. Also I as I havent got anything in writing so to speak, just a phone call to say I won, then I just feel if I keep chaisng them they might turn round and deny it.
Im looking for advice on what to do next really. Thanks.

Have they tried to obtain any personal information from you?
Sounds VERY much like a scam going on here.0 -
Hi,
It does seem genuine.
They guy who called was one of the company managers there at the opening day. He also read all my details back to me over the phone, as I had signed in with them, just asked me to confirm.
Im just unsure whether to keep contacting them or wiat for them to contact me. It is just annyoing me slightly that it seems to be taking so much time to sort.0 -
Is there any way you could go back to where the open day was and speak directly to someone?[FONT="]

If you know where they are based and it's not too far, I'd be inclined to get down there. It's easy to fob you off over the phone, not so easy face-to-face. You're not badgering them at all. You've won now you want your prizeHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
