Just wondering if you'd had any progress, estug? I got the valuation survey through a week last Saturday, and the Homebuyer's survey towards the middle of last week. Still waiting for the underwriting process to complete. The broker reckons it could be Friday next week before a decision - 5 weeks from start to finish.

    Any news?

Just wondering if you'd heard back yet, estug?

I'm STILL waiting for a mortgage decision... 6 weeks now from submitting the application and supporting docs! Unbelievable. I'm surprised the Vendor hasn't been raising concerns by now.
  • I have been 4 weeks from walking in the door of the clydesdale to solicitor receiving the mortgage documents yesterday.. moving in next wednesday woohooo
  • Must add, both me and the solicitor have been harassing mortgage services at the clydesdale to try and push things along as soon as i left the branch

Woot! Congrats, gasmanmartin , that's great news! Glad to hear that they're getting their fingers out for some of their customers :D!

I'm led to believe that I should receive an offer next week, which will be a whopping 7 weeks  after submitting the application and all supporting documents. I wonder if this is some sort of record :rotfl:!

Just to wrap things up, have now moved in to my new home but the process was not easy. We got our mortgage offer in the middle of May (so nearly 3 months from the initial app). If I had known about Clydesdale before then I would have taken my business elsewhere but that is the funny thing with hindsight.

    Congratulations on completion

On the other hand Clydesdale have been pretty good at this end no problems at all
