I’m confused (it’s not difficult!) Finally I’m allowed to claim child care vouchers through work. OH is starting a new job and won’t qualify for the first year (he’ll earn more than me)
So when I get the renewal from Tax credits – do I declare the £8010 – or £5094 (minus the vouchers) ?
I don’t think we are entitled to Child tax credits – OH is due to start a new job with bonuses. Maximum he’ll earn is £26,000 a year (he doubt’s he’ll get this!) I earn £8010.
DD gets 15 hours free at nursery a week for 38 (?) weeks and I pay £52.50 during those weeks. For the rest of the year I pay £105 a week – She has 2 week’s “free” – One is a week’s holiday and one is over Christmas so I work it out at £3332 a year (approx) so £64.08 a week.
Child tax credits I’m only entitled to £4 a week?
So I’m guessing I’m better off with the vouchers?
Thanks

Declare your income minus the vouchers, they are taken off before tax so aren't part of your taxable pay. Your P60 should show the correct income to declare.
Don't understand the £4pw, you will get at least the family element of CTC ie £10.50 a week unless your joint income is over 40k.
For vouchers vs tax credits childcare see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/calcs/ccin.htm0
