my OHs uncle used to love my baked custards - minus the pastry after his throat op. and when he was dying it was the only thing he would eat. OH would take some down every other day and the nurses kept them in the fridge for him. it was just a simple egg custard. he also used to love my cheesy potato pie. just mashed potato with grated cheese (a mix of cheddar and parmegiano) and for him I would make it a bit 'sloppy' with milk and butter.0

Egg based dishes like fritattas and quiches are simple to make and versatile, but why not something as easy as a baked potato with a nice filling?0
