Hello,

A few years ago,I contracted a debt management plan with DCM money solution.

I recently learned that DCM went into default and was put into administration on march 02, 2011.

i have been advised to contact ClearDebt group who has apparently bought back the data from DCM.

I contacted ClearDebt group and discovered that their data about the status of my debts left to pay is not accurate. In fact, those records date back to november 2009.

i highlighted that fact to Cleardebt but since then i haver not heard from them and all my aattempt to contact them failed.

i initially paid a fee of £750 to DCM. However, i am serious doubt that the service provided by them. I am not even sure how much was repaid to my creditors as there is an unknown since november 2009. I fear that the money i paid to DCM since then, is lost to me.

I am at a loss at what to do.

Any advise would be much appreciated as panic is not far from what i am feeling now.

If you still want a debt management service for your debts then contact one of the charities who will do this for free, no up front fee and no ongoing monthly fee.

I would suggest contacting all your creditors for a statement of account - which should at least indicate how many months payments they have received etc and let you know what your current balances are.

Who advised your to contact cleardebt?

Then I would write to the administrators explaining the situation - you might even want to try a subject access request for all the data they hold in relation to your account. Or might be worth contacting the OFT for some advice on how to proceed with working out what money has been paid to creditors.
