No.
But it will affect your relationship with your bank unless you go in see them explain it was all your fault and you are "sorry and could you raise my overdraft to stop this unique event from happening again".
While you are there ask for the bank charges to be refunded to your account as this the first time it has happened for ..... months, years etc.
Say please and thank you a lot and book an appointment with the personal banker and get your point across firmly but politely and don't waffle.
Good luck.0 -

I compained about being charged because I went over by just 26p, told them it wasnt justified to charge me £25 for that, and they refunded me with no hassle at all!finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0

yeah it does seem a bit steep doesnt it.would u say it would have no lasting effect on your credit?0

Depends on how or if they report it to a credit reference agency. Apologising for your mistake is one way you may reduce the chance of that. If you need a larger overdraft to cover the routine varations in when debits and credits happen on your account, ask for that as well. Getting a larger facility and not using it beats the alternative!0

mine did too. All depends how well you handle your account:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0
