Brilliant cobblers in Halifax!
Just want to let uou know that I have found a wonderful, old fashioned cobblers shop in Ovenden, Halifax. It's in the row of shops by the traffic lights on Keighley road, it's called 'Frank the Cobbler'. I had my boots mended there last week for a fiver and he has done a lovely job :T .
My great grandfather was a cobbler and clog maker, so it was wonderful to find a proper craftsman who takes a pride in his work.
Hurry along though, Frank told me he is thinking of retiring soon, after 42 years in the same shop.
He also retails riding boots, work boots etc. Definitely worth a look.
