Congrats again to OP. My first ever dealings with Amazon. Ordered my free book on Monday along with another book and a couple of small toys for our middle son (which together wouldn't have qualified for free postage so I wasn't going to bother). All items arrived this morning, in Northern Ireland and postage for the lot was free. Thanks again!

they have charged me 5.99 for it and when i queried it they informed me that the voucher was just for free package and posting, so have emailed them again, grrrrrr why does it happen to me

I've just gone through the process again using a different address to check and it still works, are you sure it applied the gift certificate code (HELLMANAMZN2) properly?

I only got the free p&p too. The order value showed £5.99 too. Cancelled the order.
