Part Buy Part Rent Mortgages

Hi
I am 25 and currently starting to think about buying my first property & wanted to know if anyone had had any experience with 'part buy, part rent' mortgages.
Various friends have been talking about them recently, but i'm unsure whether it is a wise move.
There are several such schemes in my area, but i'm not sure whether you need to be deemed a 'key worker' in order to qualify.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you (in advance!)

My sister and her husband had a part buy part rent property when they first got together. It was okay, but they only ever 'owned' half of the flat, and when it came time to move, it was difficult to find someone to buy from them. You're much better off going for a full mortgage, that way the property (and any profit) is all yours.
