Organised then your council! I guess he needs to find out where the payments have been allocated to - make sure they are against the right year and address! and find out how much is left outstanding - if any.

It was my partners old property and I never lived there. He moved in with me.
He's got an appt on Friday afternoon with the council to discuss his outstanding payment.
Interestingly, I've just read on the insolvencyhelpline.co.uk that 'From 1 April 1998, local authorities must send you a letter giving 14 days notice of a proposed bailiff visit to collect council tax.'
We definately didn't receive anything like that!
Also, turns out we forgot to lock the front door last night!!!! If they'd have tried the door handle, they'd have been in!
I'm all locked up now I can tell you!0 -
Minky, all goods in the house belong to you, should the bailiff make it that far DONT THEY.
;)
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

He actually arrived at mine with a bag of clothes, a couple of books and a cat. So actually, everything is!:D
Would love to see the bailiffs trying to catch and pick up the cat:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
