Recycling larger amounts of glass

Hi guys,

We have a large amount of glass built up over the last few years. Many of the bottles would be too large to fit into the small apertures in the bins you find at the dump, so is there anyone else does it? Everything has been cleaned and is perfectly safe... we could just dump it but would like to recycle if possible.

Would be Bryson boxes hod them? You know...the ones you put your recycled items in at home? Maybe contacting Bryson direct is you have a huge amount?

If your area does a bryson box scheme then contact them in the first instance on 02890848493 - this will tell you whether the scheme operates in your area.

If not then contact your local council waste management section to see what they can do. I know they do 'bulky' collections and they might agree either to pick it up or that you can leave it at a particular site for recycling even if some parts don't fit in the big bins.

I've always found the staff at the facility very helpful as well, but then I think Belfast city council is very good on on this sort of thing
