Hi,
I have read this thread for a little while and wanted to join you sound a lovely community,
me & my husband are in debt to the tune of £38000, this sadly is due to a number of reason with £16000 going towards private IVF with sadly didn't work,:( , however we also lived beyond our means i guess as i way of getting over the fails i spent lots of money but hardly anything to show for it,
We are paying into cccs but only a mere 120pm £16000 has not been added on to it as i have to confuse this was after the debt arrangement,
So now i think the best thing for us to do is an IVA but don't know where to start ~ i did make a internet enquiry with one company and got 15 calls in 2 days ~ so i kind of think they must earn quite a bit out of people doing ivf,
does anyone know the fee's etc
Now we have stopped IVF treatment ~ we need a totally break from it ~ but i would love to be able to say i will be debt free by such a date so an ivf seems the best thing ~ do you know if they can take equaity from your home if it's shared ownership,
sorry all these questions on my 1st post and all,
i am just so confused with what to do
but want to put a stop to this debt rolling out of control
thanks in advance
Ruby,xx

Having been through ivf a few times I really feel for you being saddled with all that debt. At least you know you've tried all you can. You sound really positive considering, just wanted to wish you lots of luck with sorting out your debt.
