Hello all
I have discovered on my credit file a satisfied default with Capquest.
The default was dated 06/02/2006, is there any way to get this removed as I had no idea I had defaulted in the first place.
The debt is now paid but I want to try and remove the stain from my credit file.
Cheers
Nick

Default will stay on for 5 years in Scotland and 6 years in England.
Best to find out about the default by writing off to the lender or whoever you defaulted to. As soon as you have this info then you can draft a letter asking for default to be removed, dependant on what you find out it was for.
I wouldent expect it to be an easy ride as it took me 2 years to get my file corrected from LLoyds that had to go to the FSA and alot of other epople before they admitted their mistake.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.
