Statute barred

Options
Hi All,

Further to the other posts in this thread I was hoping someone could give me some advice.

I had a credit account back in 2002 that I personally have not paid anything to for over 6 years but I have just found out that my mother has been paying £10 per month to them after the collection agency bullied her into it. She has stated to them throughout that she is not the account holder. Would Statute Barred be applicable here as it is not me personally that has been paying on this account?

Thanks

You really do need to speak to NDL about this, as it massively complicates matter.

Why oh why do mothers do this?

Any idea when she started paying them?

i suspect your problem would be proving that this was done without your knowledge.

perhaps a signed witness staement from your mother would be enough but given the relationship there i'm not sure it would be?
