Hi everyone well after months of saying i am going to do something about my debts and nothing happening i have decided i need to take a more structured approach and in my search for debt advice came across this site

Any tips and advice greatfully received, i have a husband and my little boy who is 2.5 years and am looking at a debt of around £8000 on credit cards/catelogues/store cards and then i have a loan that was originally £20,000 (half way through paying it off now at around £10,000 and my husband has a loan that was originally £6500 now stands at around £5500 and still about 3-4 years left to pay on it

Hope you can give me some good advice and tips

Thanks in advance

    Hi

If you post your SOA(statement of affairs) people will be happy to help.

Actually, I think the best route is to tackle the highest apr debts off first, probably your credit card. Post your SOA for better guidance

The op is very new, might be easier for her if someone would be kind enough to post a link to an SOA

    welcome to debt free wannabee!
there is a sticky on the DFW page, think its about 6 down called something like"help for beginners and SOA calculator".
    click on that.....
its a list of all : incomings inc benefits/maintainence/earnings
    bills/payments/spending/debts
you will need APRs and lengths of loans and any offer periods on CCs

then lots of experts on here will flood your post with excellant advice on your situation.you don't have to take any of it,but its great to know your options and its a good board for support too.
    good luck on your journey.
