£2k Ernest & Jones voucher - cannot replace items in store :-(

Hi,
So ive got a store voucher card with around £2000 on it from an insurance payout, which can be used in Ernest Jones / H samuel.
Most of the items it is supposed to cover cannot be bought at any of those stores so it's basically useless to me to help replace the items that were stolen from me.
What i'm trying to work out is the best way to covert this into real money to allow me to go to the correct shops and replace my items.
At the moment all i can think of is to buy stuff from Ernest Jones and sell it on via ebay etc at a loss. Im pretty sure nobody is gonna pay me £2k for a storecard they dont know will work. I dont think these stores will refund items for cash. Any other ideas? Any advice on what stuff would be best to buy and sell on without losing most of the value?
Any help would be most appreciated! :-(
Thanks

Could you buy 20 x £100 paper vouchers or ask them to put it onto different giftcards and you can get your money back that way?0

Go back to who ever issued you with the store card, that is of no use to you, and explain it to them and see if they can offer you something else.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Have tried that til i'm blue in the face unfortunately insurance companies couldn't care less whether they are actually helping you out or not, all they care about is reducing ones claim so that they make a profit :-(0 -

Unable to use it to buy other vouchers, thanks for the idea though.0 -
Would it not be easier to sell the original £2K gift card ? On ebay ? I doubt you would get £2K but would probably get more than buying seperate items and then flogging them on individually. And would be a lot less hassle.0

yeh i did think that but thought it would be unlikely for anyone to take a risk for that money over ebay0
