Asda Price Match

Is it just me? lol probably very slow but i have just found out that Asda do a price match. You just take in proof that another supermarket is selling a product on a special offer and they match it. I saved a fortune as i took a flier for a supermarket i cant get too.

Does anyone know if they pricematch Aldi or lidl?

  • I *believe* they 'ad match' any supermarket but IME they are VERY picky about it being EXACTLY the same product. Fair enough. Used to do it quite a while ago, it's better than trawling all the supermarkets IME. We get a free paper through the door every week that has loads of flyers from all our local supermarkets. Very easy to just pick out what products you want and pop to Asda. My local CS staff used to hate doing it, of course, but they knew they had to. In fact, I might start doing it again to annoy them...lol.

I used to work for Asda, yes they do price match. You can have 3 items only of your 'ad', you must give them the ad( Its like a coupon) and it must be the same item. So if say your ad shows bran flakes @2 for £2 but the ones in Asda have 50% free on the boxes you can't have them. But if your flyer shows a store own brand on offer you can have tha Asda own brand. But i will say not all checkout ops understood this part of their training and don't know how to ad match. Happy Ad matching!!!!!!!
  • Hi does anyone know if this is the same for TV,s I have seen one I like in asda and in argos, argos are giving 3yr warranty free, would they match that?
    thanks
  • Asda colleagues are people too (well, most of them). Please be nice to them.

I have a couple of staff in Asda who try to hide under their till when they see me coming as they get so confused with the ad match!! I just make sure I go to the same person - she is brilliant and knows exactly what she is doing
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!
