Buchanan C & W are really upsetting me!

Hopefully someone can help with this horrible company who are intent on making my life a misery.
I owe O2 £58 and have just started a DMP but O2 claimed the debt after I had told CCCS all of my debtors. I thought as it wasn't a lot of money that I could manage that myself.
The debt was passed to BC&W and on the 15th of March a lady telephoned me and I agreed with her that I would pay £20 there and then over the telephone and gave her my bank account details and card number. She agreed that I could ring them up in a month and pay another £20 so I assumed that was that. WRONG!
I have had a telephone call today from a man there stating 'As you have made no attempt to pay us anything, we will issue you with a court order unless you pay me the full amount now'
As you can imagine, I was amazed as they had already agreed to take a payment from me a few weeks ago and after checking my bank account whilst this man was on the phone, I saw that they had not taken it.
He said he could see on the system that I had spoken to them and agreed an amount but there was no record of any account numbers there.
I was getting quite frustrated at this point and informed him that I was being paid tomorrow so if they called me back then, I would be able to pay it, but he said that wouldn't be possible and it had to be now or I was going to get a court order.
I felt like I had done something wrong, I know I hadn't as I had agreed with them a payment schedule on the 15th of March, so I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor to which this rude man said 'No'. I again asked as I was not happy with how I had been treated and he said that they were all busy so I asked to hold until one was available. He then put the phone down on me so I still don't know where I am with them.
I was so upset with the threats and then the rudeness of the company not to allow me to talk to someone higher up.
I know they record all the calls but I have a feeling that they will 'lose' this telephone call as he was so threatening.
I am now wondering whether to pay O2 the full amount (I have asked my parents if they can lend me the cash just to get them off my back) but then I don't know if O2 will accept it as it has been taken off their hands.
Please help with any advice.

All you can do is try and pay O2, I doubt very much that they record calls. Are you sure on the amount of the debt?
They wont take you to court for £58 its just not worth it for them.
Are they calling you alot, if so send them thisYour Street

Dear Sirs
Harassment by telephone
FORMAL COMPLAINT

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.
I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.(Delete if necessary)
I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.
I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.
Please treat this also as a formal complaint, and send me a copy of your company complaints procedure.
Be advised that any furthertelephone calls from your company will be recorded. (**Even if you don‘t yet have recording equipment!!**)

Yes, it is just for £58.
Well, BCW have now added their fees onto this so I think it's now about £64. I never got as far as asking what the amount now was!
Any advice on paying O2 direct? I'd rather do this than pay these nasty people.0 -
