Apprenticeships travel and tourism

Hi,

My daughter is leaving school soon, and of course is looking for a job.

She wants a apprenticeship with the travel industry, we are currently applying for two. (first choice and Thomas cook - this has been delayed due to the merger with co op)

Does anybody else know of other companies offering such apprenticeships?

Only thing i can suggest is to look what other travel firms are in the local area and write to them, have you checked the apprentice website for vacancies

Look at local colleges that offer the course as they may have links to employers and if they run the course full time it is likely that they offer it as an apprenticeship. Where abouts are you in the country (dont be too specific!!)

Your local Connexions office should have information on all apprenticeships in your area. I would also suggest that she applies for a full time college course as a backup as some employers only recruit from these.

Any news, someone i know is doing travel and tourism but shes not doing it as an appreticeship
