Egg Card Problems

I managed to max out my egg card to 9500, now after many a month and year I have finally realised that paying minimum is getting no where, to the point that paying off 300 a month actually charges me approx 200 interest. Tried to apply for cheaper interest loan from banks but they all refused. Do I need to wait so many months before I can apply again, I checked my Experian Record and it was very good at the top 999 as have never missed any payments, but still they refused. Any ideas for a quick solution or do I just slug it out? Cheers
