How often can you obtain your statutory credit report?

Might be a silly question, but is there any restriction on how often you can write to the three main credit ref agency and request your £2 basic statutory credit file?
I've only just been discharged so its a little early to do a 'clean up', but I'm curious as to what it says right now so I'm thinking I could order them now (its only £6 in total) and then in approx 2 months, order them again as part of my credit file clean up.

Three times so far since my discharge in September; all during cleaning up my file. I think I'm going to get one a quarter on rotation to keep an eye on 'em. I also find the little green ticks from my credit rebuilding activities strangely motivational.

Equifax say their report is valid for 90 days but of course anything can change on it from the moment they print it off. So I guess on that basis you can order as often as you like. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Cool, thats fine then. I know they obviously want you to opt for the paid online/subscription version so I wasn't sure if they'd managed to come up with some loophole that you could only get the statutory report once or year or something silly. Will do them this week.
BTW, anyone how quickly the OR advises creditors/credit ref agencies that someone is discharged? .. and how quickly do creditors update their files follow discharge? Are we talking days or weeks?0 -
The Statutory Report is 'yours' by rights, I think the £2 charge is set by the Government to make it affordable for all to see their report. I doubt they would put any other restrictions on it so the credit reference agencies have sought other ways to increase their income from jo public.
They then just hide the Statutory Report info as best they can in the hope most people will stop looking for it and pay the higher amount for the gold plated service they don't really need, lol.
I don't think the OR informs anyone of discharge, it's there for all to see on the IS website, if they want to look. It's best to read the credit clean up sticky thread at the top of the board for how to restore your credit files. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
