And seasonally adjusted, I only have 36,059 thanks.
But we all know that the stats on thanks are made up. Part of a conspiracy between the BBC and the government to ensure that thanks stats are kept high. They can't afford to let them fall and show people what's really happening.
Just my opinion Generali, but once the government props and supports are taken away I see your thanks count falling 40% in real terms over the next 12 to 24 months. And we all know that your thanks amount wouldn't be as high as it is without these artificially low interest rates.0 -
11,000 eh ? I'm almost and underwhelmed as when he tells me how much he earns, or what he had for dinner last night.
Oh, c'mon, you love it really. Otherwise you wouldn't be following him about making comments like the one above. And I reckon £150,000 and some form of poncey steak, with an expensive red wine, followed by old whiskey.0 -

"Love it" ? Not really.
"Following him" ? Not really. Hamish posts quite a lot, and I happen to read some of his posts (and yes, I have contributed a few "Thanks" to the 11000 he's telling us about). I would think I`ve replied more to Hamish's posts than any other forum member, but I don't go out of my way to follow him.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. I remember when I was 5 and I used to follow Suzanne Kline around at school - pulling her hair, flicking or arms, mimicking everything she said and basically trying to be a pain and annoy her as much as possible. I really fancied Suzanne Kline.0 -

Nah Cleaves mate, thanks counts only ever go up.
That's the trouble with your argument. You want bad things to happen to me (ie fewer thanks) in order to make your paltry thanks count appear higher.
Monthly thanks counts are just noise anyway.0 -

If you are incinerating that I "fancy" Hamish, then......
Oh, there's no "throwing up" smiley.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

I wasn't incinerating anything, I don't have a lighter or any matches to hand.
I wasn't insinuating anything either, I was just telling you about Suzanne Kline. She had lovely, long blonde hair and looked a bit like a duck. But in an attractive way, if you know what I mean? Like an attractive, 5-year old, blonde duck. Which must have appealed to a 5-year old Cleaver. She used to hold hands with my friend Mark though, which I used to pretend didn't bother me and we all used to take the mickey out of Mark for holding hands with a girl. Secretly though, I think we were all quite jealous of Mark.
Anyway, all this has nothing to do with you and Hamish.0 -

Yes, but I enjoyed your little story anyway.
Suzanne Kline sounds like she would have been a quacking bit of stuff to a 5 year old boy.
Did she ever peck you on the cheek ?30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

I wish.and some form of poncey steak,
Well, it was once a steak, until Burger King's supplier minced it up and formed it into a round shape.with an expensive red wine,
Sadly not, just coca cola in a paper cup.followed by old whiskey.
Ahhhhh damn, you got me with that one.

I don't want to be the one to break this to you Hamish, but that was never steak. It probably wasn't even a cow.0
