Well i have been posting on here for a while and sort of saving but now im going to do it!!!
I am a 20 year old college student and will be finishing my alevels in july next year. I work part time in a new job working as much overtime as possible so i earn around £400 a month.
After a talk with my boyfriend i have decided not to go 2 university next year so i can get a full time job.
I have been missing a lot of college due to depression and stress over debt as i had no1 to talk 2. Now iv told my boyfriend there is a lot of pressure off me.
I have set up a debt management plan with cccs and pay £100 a month to them from next month. My boyfriend has started putting £40 a week away for my debts so i can pay them off. If i can get a good full time job when i finish my alevels (i have been offered one recently but want to finish college!) then we are hoping to get a flat together which would be brilliant!
So waffling on i want to say thanks and keep up the support! thank you

Best step is the first step, will get easier from here.
With regards to college, they can offer help and support if you need it and most are usually good when it comes to helping with students suffering from depression aswell as some having advisors in student welfare inc financial.
Sounds like you're finding your feet, and how lovely of your BF to help you out aswell, sounds like you have a diamond there.
Best of luck with the A levels and hope you continue to find this site supportive. One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks for your support! I spoke to my tutors to explain why i have been off and they were so supportive! One even told me about IVA's amd stuff!
I dont think there is anything financial i can claim, im 20 now so dont get EMA and the only other thing was a bus pass which i couldnt get!
the only thing i dont understand is with cccs, they have said i can pay £100 to my creditors but how does this work, does this include my overdraft interest etc?!?!?0
