JSA and training question

I'm under 25, currently seeking JSA for under 6 months. I have an interview this week (my second interview with the company), they have told me if i pass this test/training interview then i will be given a job. However i will need to do 6 weeks training part time (under 16 hours per week) and this should start next week (on the day i'm suppose to sign).
where does this leave me regarding JSA? I heard you can only do two weeks training and still claim? what about the other weeks of training i have to do? will they only let me sign and do two weeks training or will they let me do the full 6 and then sign me off?
Also is there a back to work bonus available?

wont you earn more than the JSA anyway - even for 16 hours?0

6.50 an hour the job will be so yes but i also have to travel 20 miles (10 miles there and back each day) so won't be earning much more during those 6 weeks.0

If you are doing 6 weeks of training, will you be paid for your time you are being trained?
I don't think there is a two week rule about the length of training courses - there is about them not being over 16 hours a week.0 -
Well if it's FREE training, you should be able to get JSA, full amount, no problem, i'd confirm it with my advisor though, you should be able to get a free BUS TICKET/PASS from Jobcentre, and the company should pay you travel expenses...

the '2 week rule' you refer to is where you can be excused attendance/seeking work for a maximum of 2 weeks in a 12 month period if you are attending a work-related course as a full time student. If you are studying for 16 hours or under, you may still be eligible but you would still have to do normal jobseeking, though the jobcentre may allow you to look for temporary work if you have a definate job offer. You should ask for a variation in your jobseekers agreement so that maybe your hours of availability can work around your course, and you can sign at a different time or a later day if you cannot attend when you are training. They will also take the money you receive into account.0

The back to work bonus you are talking about is called a Job Grant. BTWB relates to part-time earnings declaration but no longer exists.
You are only eligible for a Job Grant if you have been in continuous receipt of benefit for 26 weeks and 3 days. Even a break of 1 day will scupper it I'm afraid. You said you have been claiming for less than 6 months so unless you hit 26 weeks and 3 days before signing off it appears you will not qualify.
If you were / are at the 6 month stage and were on Stage 3 you would have access to a New Deal rail card which would give you half price fares.0
