Tax allowance for uniforms

Hi, firstly apologies if this is posted in the wrong thread.
I work in care establishments, the company I work for provides the uniforms. Wondering whether or not you can get a tax allowance, either in the form of a tax refund or alteration of personal allowance tax code, for having to wash your uniform at home. This probably sounds bizarre, but I did read somewhere that anyone who has to wear a uniform for work and it is provided by their employer, and has to wash their uniform at home, can apply for a tax rebate.

As I'm unsure as to how true this is, could anyone give further advice please? Should I get in touch with HMRC to verify whether this is valid?

Thanks
