Pie Tin - Baking advice

Don't laugh but I have a stupid question. I want to make pie and I have a pie tin in which to do this. My question is am I ok to leave the pie to cool in the tin or must put it on a cooling rack?I am making a pie with gluten free pastry that is not the most robust so I am really hoping it can cool in the pan so it doesn't all fall apart when I try and take it out. Thanks from a baking novice :-)

I always leave mine in the pie tin or plate and not had any problems
I've not tried gluten free pastry though. Enjoying an MSE OS life

I'm not a pie maker but my granny and aunt would make at least one pie a week and always left it in the pie dish to cool (things like apple pie when served cold for desert). Hot served food tended to get served immediately from the pie dish.DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt
