Outstanding balance paid already!

Options
I have just checked my credit report (score 830) and there is an old account, which I got into trouble with but paid off in around 2006 which still says has a balance of £1200.

It is with Lloyds TSB...

What is the quickest way to get this rectified?

Write to their collections centre?
Call them?

I paid it through a debt collectors/solicitors company and am dreading a long drawn out process...

I don't have any paperwork from the old account or even the account number...

Is this going to be a Mission Impossible?

Cheers

Dean

Not impossible - but possibly a bit of a pain.
Do you have proof you paid the debt off? a letter/receipt from the DCA? or possibly a bank statement if you paid from your account direct.

Probably I would start with a letter to Lloyds giving details of the date and amount you paid and the dca you paid and asking for your credit file to be updated to reflect an accurate position.
