Just bought 500g of asda smart price pasta (penne) for 9p per bag! So ended up with 5kg for 90p...bargain!
I bought this for the first time last month and the family haven't noticed the change :)

Forgot to say it is usually 20p per 500g bag and was reduced to 18p a couple of weeks ago, so 9p is a bargain!

I've started buying this and it's just as good as the expensive ones. I do cook it for slightly less time than it says on the packet.

Me too, woohoo!! They have also reduced their smart price pasta sauce to 18p, is a bit thin for me so I usually add a little tomato puree and my usual onion, garlic and mushrooms. Have enough to last me a few months:rotfl:

:DHa ha yes I also bought the 18p bol sauce today. It was cheaper than the tinned toms. I added tom puree, worc sauce, herbs and water and added it to a pepper, an onion, some mushrooms, a carrot and a courgette. The family all commented on how lovely it tasted with the pasta!!!:D

wow that a good price. i only like twists ( no idea why) and morrisons seems to be the only store which does value pasta twist. it was 20p a bag last week. be fab if even lower, our famiyl eats so much pasta, it is prefered over potatos and rice. my boys are pasta and grated cheese crazy, lol.

Bought 5 packs today (the last 5 :rotfl:) Normally buy this anyway and the last time I did it was about 40p.

I wonder if Asda are discontinuing this line because it no longer shows online (not OOS, just gone)

Thank you for posting this. The price of both the pasta and the sauce are fab, shall be taking a trip to the local asda tonight! Like BusyGirl said you can add stuff to the sauce to make some lovely cheap meals!

I probably wouldn't bother with the sauce personally, better quality sauce (or home made) makes for a much better meal, but the pasta is fine.

Bought 10 packs on Friday, hope to get some more this week as this is such a cheap price. It makes 3kg 54p, cant remember pasta ever being that cheap. The good old days (couple of years ago) 3kg bags were £1!!
