[STRIKE]Martin and others, have you tried attending a Parkrun near you? It's a 5k run in your local park with results accurately timed and posted to a website. They are completely free of charge, with equipment funded by sponsors and very well organised by volunteers. The advantages are that you can track your progress every week, and use the 100 or so other competitors as motivation not to slack off during the running. It often feels more fun than slogging around the streets on your own. They have events all over the country, every Saturday morning.[/STRIKE]
OK, I see that it's already been mentioned by several people in this thread... still a great idea though!0 -
Hello,
Great blog. Can anyone direct me to a good website that helps people to start running? In the past i was an active guy such as rowing and circuits but found running to be hard. I'm well built guy (not fat) so there is quite a bit of me to move around and often i would decide not to run as my legs would spend two days recovering. It prob down to not warming up and down correctly so i need some advice with this.
Thanks
