TOM TOM ONE Sat Nav

Hi Guys

I'm about to buy a TOM TOM ONE for a Christmas present.

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

The cheapest I've found is at Halfords.co.uk, where it's £183.00.

Sorry in advance if this post is in the wrong thread.

:D

I think you could try this thread from discount codes, not sure how many of the codes are still valid but worth a try, a few had got for £160.

    Thanks for that.

I'm rather greedily waiting for a reply to the last post in that thread.

    Any news?

  • I believe Tomtom one V2 is one of the finest stand-alone GPS system as per basic car navigation goes. It is small, portable, easy to use, has easy on the eye display with useful 3-D view, loud and clear instructions, good touchscreen, and very quick to pick up signals and calculate/recalculate routes. Cons- poor battery life (<2 hours, need to use car adaptor, no AC adaptor supplied but V2 also charges through supplied USB connector if computer on), need to regularly pay for traffic module (apperently not so good), no bluetooth for mobile phones, and car windscreen holder not the best (not too bad though). And no music player or other facilities, but I do not think that should influence the decision.
