Bank debts?

Over 11 years ago I had debts with a major bank on a current account. Obviously the debt built up because of bank charges etc until the bank eventually stopped adding charges and tried chasing payment. Not heard anything from them in years, I have moved around several times, but I have never hidden my address (electoral rolls, utility bills etc). Do banks eventually give up chasing debts, or is it possible that they may appear out of the blue to try again to reclaim their debt?

Unless a court judgement has been granted on the debt that you are unaware of (which is unlikely), then the debt would be statute barred.

^ What Fermi said. And what Fermi said on your other thread. Fermi is right. Fermi is good at this. It makes sense to listen to Fermi. Especially when Fermi says it twice.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.
