Clinique Foundation Rant

Hi, I've posted on here before about Clinique discontinuing my favourite foundations, first the gentle light make up and then the almost make up. Now, going to the Clinique counter they hardly have any foundations left as they have discontinued a lot of them, even the assistant in Boots say they have just gone mad with it.

Yesterday I bought the Supermoisture make up to get the GWP with my friend. I did want the new Moisture Surge tinted moisturiser but was told it wasn't coming out until the middle of the month. Anyway the Supermoisture make up isn't half as good as the others I used and it seems heavier and doesn't give the dewy look I was hoping for.

Today I went into Debenhams and they had got the new tinted moisturiser there. I tried some on my hand and yeah it seems OK, but no different to the Boots No7 one and its such a tiny bottle I can imagine it not lasting very long at all. The supermoisture make up is in a tiny tube but that is rich so would last a while but the tinted moisturiser is more fluid and I can imagine it only lasting a month if that when used every day. The almost make up was in a 45 ml tube and this new replacement is in a 30 ml one. What a rip off! They have hacked up the price and reduced the size.

As a consequence I feel I am straying off Clinique foundations and make up as its not good value for money anymore. The No7 foundations are about 40 ml and the new tinted moisturiser is 50 ml and you often get the five pound vouchers. Back to No7 for make up me thinks.

Rant over :(

If you are looking for a relatively light foundation just to even out your skin tone, try MAC Face and Body - £23 for 120ml - 4 times the size of normal foundations for less what you'd pay for a high end one. It leaves a fantastic dewy, glowy look to your skin and can be layered for a heavier finish.

OMG please tell me they still sell Superbalanced!!? I've been using it for about 13 years and always *need* a bottle. I have such bad luck with trying new foundations.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
