Company Car?????

Hi All,

Newbie wanting your help!!!

Ive got a company car at the moment with a fuel card. Which includes private use.

So im wonder if its better to take a £300 allowance or carry on the with company car. I say i do roughly less than 3000 private miles a year.

is the 300 allowance a monthly figure or annual figure.
and what rate of tax do you pay?

Its 300 a month. and it 20%

How many miles a year do you do business and personal and if you take the personal allowance will you be able to claim fuel back @ whatever rate your company pays?

Do roughly 8000 work miles and around 3000 personal a year.
No they dont give anything for buisness miles.

I would say it is probably best to keep your company car. A megane will cost approximately £ 240 a month to lease and once you add insurance, fuel and servicing you will be looking at quite a bit more. However if you get to chose where your company get your car from you could possibly get a better car for your money..... possibly...

If i use m own car i can have anything that is under 200bhp

Sorry its me not reading right!!!!! The megane is the only car the company will give me. i was going to get alfa romeo that would cost me £260 a month on lease
