Boosting pension

Dear all,
A lady retired in 2009 and was in receipt of DLA. She only has parental responsibility protection and only worked part time for a few years, not sure of the NI status. She is not getting any pension.
Can she somehow boost her pension under the rules and whether or not it will be worthwhile? Her husband retires next year in January has been told that she will be able to claim 2/3 of his pension.
She is not sure about any thing, any advice most appreciated.

Her first born was in 1978 then 1981 and1984. After which she developed rheumatoid arthritis and eventually was granted DLA in 2007.
Please let me know what other info you need.
thanks,

Did she only pay married woman's stamp before having her children? It is a mistake a lot of women made at that time. Most women don't seem to have been informed of the implications. Did she get home responsibilities for all the children? I assume (but don't know) that the DLA would cover her for pension. Perhaps it might be an idea to check that they have the correct info for her as I wouldn't have thought she would be that much short of a full pension under the old Home responsibility rules which were different to the current ones (changed in april 10)0
