    Dear Tesco.

On dd/mm/yy I rang you and you agreed to collect £xx.xx.

Unfortunately you collected £253.00 in error.

I rang you again on dd/mm/yy and you agreed to put things right. In March you made the same mistake. It it very frustrating.

Please can you put this right, make sure that it doesn't happen again and compensate me for the difficulties this has caused me.

If Tesco have taken by DD more than was advised, then contact your bank and ask for an immediate refund in full under the terms of the DD guarantee.
Tesco should not be refunding you outside of the DD scheme. Your bank is responsible for refunding you and will then collect the money from Tesco

(You should, of course, contact Tesco to discuss how the money you actually owe should then be paid)

You also ask about claiming other money. Well if you can demonstrate losses due to Tesco taking more than advised, then you can also claim consequential losses under the DD guarantee. Again, this is claimed from your bank, but your bank is not obliged to refund consequential losses immediately, rather to refund you once they receive the same from Tesco (which should usually be within 14 days)

If you haven't actually suffered any financial loss, it is unlikely you'll get much and requesting it may simply appear opportunistic in nature.
