Halifax Mortgage payment

I had a cash flow problem for my monthly payment on thursday and the payment bounced. My cash flow problem is sorted now, can anyone tell me if the Halifax will try to take the money again or will i have to get in touch?

Thanks

Get in touch with them first thing tomorrow to get it sorted out. I don't understand why you haven't already contacted them.

If my memory is correct, they will try again after 7 days.

But ring them and check. If they don't collect another payment by 31st March you will show in arrears - so I'd suggest a manual payment at a branch counter if they're not representing the direct debit.
  • Yeah, I think I once missed mine, they kindly charged me (C and G I think) £50 for trying again and it went through within a few days. I complained and they refunded the costs though, but that was the only time in 8 years I've made that mistake.
