Mortgage free by 2014--the first step!

İ have finally come of the fence and want to be free of uncumberment of a mortgage by mid 2014--so far in the normal scheme of things i have been able to save 22k at a rate of about 1k pcm--just another 32k to go til i am able to clear the total amount--i have a svr 2pc mortgage but currently get 4pc less tax on my savings--when is the tipping point if mortgage rates start to increase??--i have always thought that the savings rates will go up accordingly??
