Hey
I have a friend who is an olive farmer in Greece(doesnt everyone??). My friend has offered that i can be the 'overseas outlet' for their oil in the UK. Now i love the idea of saying I am in Oil (very Dallas) & the stuff is really good as its what we always use. Does anybody have the slightest idea how i would sell oil. I am thinking restaurants etc would be interested in something of such good quality.
Is anybody out there in retail & has any ideas??
Thank you

I would suggest that you approach some of the big companies that deliver to restaurants and pubs such as Brakes, Funnybones etc. 'Sell' it to them as in get it put on their product lists, then you offer them the goods to promote it or ask them to advise. They'll want to help you because tey makemoney by selling on your product. This way you don't have to worry about distribution costs.Debt £5600 all 0%0

Thank you. Its so not my area so i have never even heard of these people (I can google though, now). Apparently there is 2000 litres a year so its not just selling it to people at work, as i fist imagined.
Anyway thanks again....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -
Is it organically produced? If so, you could approach health food stores and organic supermarkets as they are always on the look out for new products - sounds very interesting - would love to hear how you do!0

Hi. I live in quite a foody part of the country and we're groaning with farmer's markets, food fairs, deli's, farm shops, organic outlets etc etc not to mention the smart restaurants, tapas bars (they must use loads of oil!), organic restaurants, health food restaurants etc. I was looking into setting up a wine business and had started identifying outlets, planning to tackle many of those sorts of places.
Sounds like a great opportunity
If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning
MBNA charges and interest frozen
Egg/DLC repayment agreement reached

I'll check on the organics. I bet that it is organic but i bet they dont have certification to prove it aswell.
Thanks for all the ideas.
Onespike - let me know if you want to move sideways into olive oil(sounds a bit slippery!)....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0
