Tax liability when returning to the UK

in Cutting tax
I have been out of the UK since 1st October 2009 and as such have paid no income tax to HMRC since then. My question is, if I return to the UK at some point during tax year 11/12 will I be liable for tax in the UK based on my earnings from 5 April 2011 onwards?

very little info to go on, but basically
yes, if you are in the UK then you pay UK tax from when you arrive
depending on your status you might be able to apply for split year treatment, as you have been out if the uk for a full tax year, (2010-2011)He's not an accountant - he's a charlatan0
