Should I be very worried about this, as I do have a mortgage and a home
Not hugely worried.
It's very unlikely that CapQuest would actually try to make you bankrupt.
The thing is it it costs virtually noting to send aout a SD by post, but to actaully make you bankrupt by issuing a real petion on court would cost the £1,000s in up front fees.
However, just in case it's best to use every advantage you have to make it clear to them that it would be useless to try, and that they most likely wouldn't succeed.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes... But I would also suggest having a careful read through the liks I've posted.
If you can identify grounds (improper service, disputed amount, unebforeable credit agreement etc....) then you can apply to have the SD set aside, meaning they couldn't follow up and make you bankrupt.
You only have a limitited time to do that. 18 days or so, so if that is a reasonable way to go then you need to start preparing.
Have a read anyway, and see what you think.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
