Hello all,
Im after some advice again !, ive been reciving incapacity benefit for a few years now due to severe depression/anxiety after lots of messing around with medication etc im now much beter and feel i want to return to work.
I think it will be benifical to my mental wellbeing and also help with money ( i should be about 300pm betterof), im just so scared of going back into work and failing or not being able to cope, then after go through the whole process of reclaming benefits etc, but i really want to try and return, just scared i suppose

It's a very big step and you're very brave even to be thinking about it. Is it possible to start looking for part time work first? As a kind of, ease you back in gently.
Try and think positively about the benefits of going, even if it's just to get out of the house for a little while.
Good luck with whatever you decide :grouphug: (and a dodgy hug)0 -
could you try volunteering? couple of hours a week?
hope it goes ok0 -
I think some voluntory work might be a good idea just to get back to a schedule and having a boss and commitments.

Have you though about the things you like doing.
Maybe there is something like a holiday/volunteer roll that is of limited time commitment to get you going0 -
As those above have said, volunteering would be a great way to test the waters of a return to work - the routine, responsibility and accompanying stress - with no threat to your situation if it doesn't work out.
Its also an opportunity to apply for roles doing something you really care about - if these work out there might be a chance to apply for a paid job down the line.
Good luck.:)0
