Hi all
My husband went bankrupt in March 09 and is now discharged, now all of a sudden some companies that were included in the BR have started sending letters saying the money owing needs to be paid or will be passed on to a collection agency. My question is can they do this it has us a little concerned.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

We were discussing this a couple of weeks ago and I came to the conclusion that many have discharge set as a 'trigger date' specifically so they can send these letters.
They are just trying it on and breaking the rules by doing so. You could forward the letters on to your OR for them to deal with and/or there are template letters in the credit clean up thread (I think that's where they are anyway) which you can amend and use to get them to stop harrassing you. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Hi catdavlee, Has your husband done his credit file clean up? As it's 2 years since he went BR think this maybe the problem.
You'll need to get all three credit files, click on blue links below:-
Experian - Click here
Equifax - Click here
Callcredit - Click here
They are £2 each for paper copies. Some people have used the online one's and have said the information was very poor compared to the paper copies.
