    I'd happily have done so if they were so much as a penny dearer than the SEL, but can't bring myself to complain when they undercharge me!

    I could say, "These scanned at less than the shelf label, I was so embarrassed when my shopping came in at less than my DTD voucher!"

    :)

    My shopping was 39p less than the voucher too :o quickly legged it for a bar of chocolate :rotfl: Had a quick look at Mysupermaket when I got back and the choc was the same price as Asda ...

    I'd beware of any Tefal offer anyway - they're not very good at honouring them. There are lots of people still waiting for Betty Crocker mixes from them 4/5 months on!:(

    I think this offer is ok. I have had a frying pan and a saucepan of them already and both are great. Just waiting to for more richmond sausage dtd's.

    if the Betty Crocker pancake mixes ARE now 74p, in my eyes this is a better DTD option than before (bear with me).

    previously £1.49, £0.25, £2.48 DTD.

    Now £0.74, £0.25, £0.98 DTD.

    The £20 cap mean that most of us are getting other items and only using pancakes as a filler item so this is easier on the maths, it costs 75p and gets you a quid (close enough anyway).

    Thanks Tesco for making my life easier.

    I've been analysing my spending since 11th March and how to best represent the results.

    I think of it in this way;

    Spent real money £332 (about) into the tills at Tesco

    DTD value £863 (add to this todays when they arrive and Fridays missing DTD's grrr)

    Therefore Asda price £431.50 (1/2 of DTD) cheaper than Tesco which was £1,224 (as per receipts), meaning goods value is £792.50 (from Asda) which cost me the original figure of £332, meaning net profit of £460.

    is this right, I think it is.

    Factor in the extra vouchers to come then the profit hits the £500 mark.

    Of course I too 'made hay' whilst they failed to implement the £100 cap, and now I have to live within the £100 max per month (but am still shopping for myself and mums address as I take her shopping), and have yet to get to £200 in April between us, so the profit will tail off, but still a great result in my eyes in what is a hard time with the price of shopping in general, fuel, pay freeze, higher NIC from this month, pensions being attacked, longer working life, etc etc.

    Every Little Helps eh!

    My Crockers will only cost me 44p (30p MOC on back :D)!

    Yes, that is what I told the cashier when she pulled me about it.

    But how could the cashier possibly know which items are DTDable????? :eek: Unless she's doing it herself... :rotfl:

    nice post freebeez. :)

    with regards to the highlighted section above:

    i really do think that this deal is 'lucrative'; you just have to be savvy. the art is to make sure that your shop is as close to the voucher value as possible. if your voucher is worth £20, then it is possible to do a £20.10 shop; after all, there are 350+ items available to choose from. if you spent a few quid more, then you're not making the maximing saving possible; in those cases, you're just giving away your money to tescos and their ridiculously overpriced items.

    if you think about, i give £20 to tesco --> do a DTD shop (1) --> £20 voucher back --> another DTD shop (2) --> another £20 voucher back --> DTD shop (3) --> £20 voucher --> DTD shop (4) --> £20 voucher --> DTD shop (5) --> £20 voucher --> FINAL SHOP - normal shopping that i would have done anyway --> end cycle.

    SO...

    ...for my £20 spend i get my normal shopping (in the end) - that is money that i would have handed over to tesco anyway! add a quid or two aswell becuase you have to spend more than the voucher value.

    BUT, i ALSO get shops 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 for free AND i get 200 extra clubcard points (worth £6 in deals!).

    i realise that shops 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 would have cost half the price in asda, but that is stiill £50 worth of goods for nowt!

    enjoy this while it lasts fellow money savers!

    :beer:

    +1

    This is what I am doing - maxing out the DTD vouchers on more DTD stuff, stocking the cupboards with non-perishables and then I will use the last round of vouchers for actual good value shopping! I have my eye on a few non-food items that are not DTDable so will use a few vouchers on those. :D
