Has anyone noticed if Tesco sell the Olay Aqua Physics Eye Cream? Asda are selling it for £5 and I can't remember if I saw it in Tesco or not. I have the serum and need an eye cream - just an idea.....
Yea, I got it, it was one of the £12 + ones.
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.

Has anyone had the thorntons special toffee easter egg confirmed, just noticed Asda call it Love Toffee and tesco call it Special Toffee egg, does this make a difference? We bought one of these for my dad last year and it was delicious...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm x

OK, this has been bothering me - what IS it with the different packaging/names for identical products from the same suppliers at T and A???? Do they ask the suppliers to do this????????? It seems a very easy way to get around the DTD promo so they can come back at us with sneaky N/As as the wording is different. Not that we are falling for it! Naughty Tesco!

    It's wombling Time.

It is now approaching the hour of darkness when the Creatures of the Night appear on this thread (usually inebriated with Mr Cohen's finest chardonnay).

I am donating £5 to any charity that the winner selects for any "Wombler" who can beat my record for the LOWEST DTD on a genuine wombler receipt. Simple rules - no cheating.

    Here is mine to beat:

    TOTAL £ 12.10 £ 11.99
    2 x KNORR 8 CHICKEN STOCK CUBES 80G £ 1.80 £ 1.80
    2 x SHARWOODS MEDIUM NOODLES 375G £ 2.00 £ 2.00
    1 x WHITE POTATOES 2.5KG TRAY £ 1.37 £ 1.37
    1 x TESCO ROOT GINGER LOOSE (0.25 kg) £ 0.53 £ 0.53
    2 x TESCO VALUE MIXED HERBS 18G £ 0.38 £ 0.38
    1 x HELLMANNS REAL MAYONNAISE 800G £ 2.00 £ 2.00
    1 x AMOY LIGHT SOY SAUCE 150ML £ 0.76 £ 0.76
    1 x TESCO GROUND TURMERIC 45G £ 0.47 £ 0.47
    1 x TESCO FRESH DOUBLE CREAM 600ML £ 1.50 £ 1.50
    1 x TESCO SMOKED PAPRIKA 48G £ 0.79 £ 0.78
    1 x TESCO GROUND CUMIN 43G £ 0.50 £ 0.40
    1 x TESCO GARAM MASALA SPICE BLEND 38G £ 0.77 N/A
    1 x SHALLOTS ONIONS 300G CLASS 2 £ 1.00 N/A
    1 x MIXED CHILLIES 56G £ 0.54 N/A
    1 x TESCO GROUND CINNAMON 40G £ 0.65 N/A
    1 x TESCO NATUALLY SWEET SWEET CORN 3X200 £ 0.96 N/A
    1 x MARKET VALUE GARLIC 3 PACK £ 0.59 N/A
    1 x MARKET VALUE CLOSED CUP MUSHROOMS 350G £ 0.69 N/A

Final result: Overcharge 11p therefore DTD 22p.

That's it folks......... 22p DTD to beat for a good cause. It must be a genuine womble. £5 to charity if you can.

I wombled a receipt that came back 7p cheaper at A, so got a voucher for 14p lol!!!!:rotfl:

I have been doing a lot of thinking this evening, mainly due to Hardys Crest!!! I know this point has been laboured already but how can Mr T advertise that if they are not cheaper than Asda they will give you Double the Difference and then cap it at any level???
Surely this is misrepresentation, if they are not cheaper they should give Double the Difference regardless of the amount, as per all of their advertising. I can't understand why Mr A hasn't jumped all over this, especially at the start of the promotion where the cap per voucher was £100 and then £100 limit per month.
If somebody was having a family dinner and bought 6 bottles of Hardys Crest & 2 bottles of Hiedseick blue top champagne from Tesco (not an impossibilty, as I tend to do this at Christmas), their policy states that they could only claim £100 per month and used to state a maximum of £100 per voucher, so the price guarantee would therefore not apply on their usual monthly shop.
They then change the policy to a max of £20 per voucher i.e. £20 per shop, from what I have learnt during this promotion I am certain that on a weekly shop I could save at least £20 per week by shopping at Asda, therefore their policy changes make this promotion not accessible to ordinary families (due to the £20 voucher cap), so I don't understand how they are getting away with advertising this as a price guarantee. If I was Mr A, I would have my staff, customers, friends and anyone I walked past in the street writing to the papers and making a spectacle of the debarcle of the Mr T campaign.
I would also just like to point out that I have had a good run at this campaign and I am overjoyed by what was achieved before my vouchers were refused, so I am not at all bitter about any of what has gone on. But I do feel that if anything was to come out of this, it should be Mr T lowering his prices but due to the cap in place, no prices are going to be lowered on a permanent basis. Therefore as far as I am concerned, the moral of the story is.......shop at Asda!

Absolutely fabulous post lousue0906. I agree 100%. Although I also agree with stebiz and the others who say that we should keep schtum while DTD lasts - let's not bite the (very naughty) hand that feeds us.

Just came back from tescos after doing a dtd style shop. Because the best buy wines were out of stock I thought I'd make my voucher up by buying an air wick reed diffuser as I remembered seeing them listed on here. The shelf price was £6.19 for the magnolia and cherry blossom 50ml but it was listed as £1 on my receipt. I don't know if this is old stock and therefore just a good bargain or a ploy to saboutage my double discount - surely they wouldn't be so sneaky as to drop the price on items that are effectively costing them to sell (at the original price I would have expected £6.38 refund) so that they have to pay £4 less to me in vouchers for my other over priced items, or would they?. Anyway I've submitted the receipt and am keeping my fingers crossed.
