  • Hi all, haven't been on for almost a week  - been to disneyland paris for few days (well, it started off as a one day deal through the Sun and we extended it) then we stayed an extra day and did Paris. Haven't had a holiday of any sort for 7 years and even though this was very child orientated and not particularly relaxing (I think I've killed my feet) I didn't realise how much I (we) needed a break away. Got back early hours yesterday morning. It was a lovely break, as a family we've had a difficult couple of years for many reasons, (mostly sad) and it was much appreciated to spend time having fun for a change. The Sun deal made it initially a great offer - £9.50 for the family and with various other deals/discounts we got a really good deal. We didn't have the largest pot of spending money but it was quality time all the same.

Funny thing was and my first thought - was must tell you lot. When we got to the hotel (the Kyriad, just outside Disney resort) they had left nivea samples in the bathroom and a leaflet with coupons on it! Shame they were in euros. Even so, can't take the coupon out of the girl and I brought it home - got a good expiry on it - 31.12.11! lol.

Sadly, when I came on yesterday to check what I may have missed out on here, I discovered that Tesco had done what most of us had predicted in some way - changed the dtd promotion.

As always, greedy so & so's boasting ruins things. Just like the Curry's christmas promotional £5. Why couldn't people just be happy with doing it within its terms?

Anyway, here's hoping for some nice new coupon finds with my renewed and recharged batteries.

Also I saw the piece about the wombler in "latest mse news" - its not me in disguise by the way. Glad to know Asda haven't got a problem with my wombling ways. Just before we left for France I found two fairly big receipts in my local - one for £161.00 and paid in cash and it only generated a £2.72 voucher (but still good for me) and a smaller one which generated a very bountiful £6.84.

The Tesco dtd thing did my head in, I will remain loyal to my roots and womble away at Asda. Little but steady wins the race!

    How is your OH UM?

Well wishes & hugs to all of you who aren't having the best time right now for whatever reason.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x

30p coupon for Countrylife expires 19th April 2011.

You need to enter the competition and they will send you an email with a link to a coupon. I didnt have a code off a cover from a pack of butter so made up one eg 29DEC109164D1422. Perhaps you could all change this a bit and give it a go. The coupon is a pdf file which I could post but am not sure if its individual to me or not.

One coupon prints in the middle of an A4 sheet so you could probably make a page of these if you wish.

    HERES THE LINK

  • oh yes, forgot to mention that I did my first womble today - heart pounding away, I fished a long looking receipt out of the trolley at T's. Scanned the bottom - over £60 but couldn't see if they had used clubcard or not, no mention of points or anything. Veh confused until I finally realised it was Morrison's!!

Just to make you smile re Eurodisney...as it was when it opened...now Disneyland Paris....I have the honour of being the first person to have their name in the accident report book...I was there before it opened to the general public and the turnstile stuck and jarred my back...was taken to the on site hospital and given heat treatment and massage and then a nice young American to push me round in a wheelchair....I was invited on a corporate weekend to try out everything to make sure things ran smoothly and ensure all the rides worked....had to try all the food at all the restaurants...really great freebie...still got all the stuff we were given...sweatshirts/T-shirts/towels etc and a commemorative silver paperweight...apart from a bad back I had a really good time.....sorry to read some peeps have not been well and to read peeps are still waiting for cheques...there is def something wrong somewhere with this Velvet comp.....not been around much as it's been perfect fishing weather....looks like rain tomorrow so will try and catch up more with all the posts....bed for me...long day fishing and I'm exhausted...

Hi Celebrate, who's stalking who on the threads:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
There isn't (as far as I know) a dettol voucher. The one people are talking about on here and other places is one which came with a free sample of wipes which was applied for quite a while ago and has just started arriving. It worked well with the dettol on dtd.

If anybody hasn't printed the co op £5 I'd do it now as it might disappear as it is going to be in Martins email
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
