    Evening all
Dawnie gonna try for the house i saw saturday - landlord ok with my animals so letting agent gonna start the ball rolling tomorrow with the referencing - should know in 48 hours. Although its an old house it has double glazed doors/windows and not damp or cold at all in fact felt too warm for me on Saturday, not having neighbours cooker as cannot be converted so gonna look for cheap electric cooker then will only have 2 utility bills ie oil/electric, re the garden i don't drink or go out much and love cutting grass so will be fine with that and am gonna try my very best to try and grow my own veggies etc. Rent is £50/month cheaper and will be doing 150 miles/week instead of 400. Keep fingers crossed for me that get good news at end of week.
Also next door neighbour told me tonight they rang my landlord today and made him an offer and he's accepted so they're buying my current house and gonna knock the 2 houses into one.
I just won £10 on velvet ..............should i claim it?

Sounds like maybe things were meant to be re the house Dawnie and that the chance of a new start etc is an exciting challenge. When you know if the house is to be yours you will have lots of fun planning it all. And with summer round the corner its the best time of year for it all to come together. Fingers crossed it works out as it sounds idyllic.:T:T:T

Good luck with the house Dawnie - sounds good.

    Hi Jeferey
can't you combine dog walkies with a trip to Tesco. Save time that way.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    morning all,
  • Morning everyone. More sunshine to drench us all today. Bring it on.

Dawnie - Congrats on your decision re: the country house. I think you knew yourself when you first posted what your heart wanted, fate certainly seems to be drawing you nearer to living there and I know myself that landlords who accept animals are few and far between so Im really glad you're accepting it. A lovely fresh start in the country - what so many of us dream of.

Velvet has been wiped from my memory! Had a tidy up around the computer area yesterday and I threw :eek:my packaging away yesterday - can't be doing with any of it now.

    Hope my vouchers arrive today.

Byatt, hope you are feeling better.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Had a nice result re disastrous hair colour using L'Oreal Mousse...the free one from Superdrug...used Dark Golden Blonde and my hair finished up the darkest brown/almost black shade....been communicating or trying to communicate with them, no probs at first they suggested I used a stripping shampoo, which slightly lightened it, but was still too dark...used more shampoo in a week than used in a month of Sundays...my hair is now lighter but still not the right colour, sun has helped....asked them to pay for shampoo 12 days ago...communication ceased!!!!! Got annoyed about this and phoned head office....within a couple of hours had telephone call and email...now having professional hair colour/treatment/cut and re-style today at hairdressers and to send them the bill....and products being posted to me to encourage me to keep using L'Oreal, as they do not want to loose me as a customer.....builders in next door, wondered what they thought when hubby was taking lots of pics of the back of my head outside in the garden...they had asked me to send photos of my hair colour, flash came on when taking them inside, the true colour was better taken
outside.....sent in before and after pics....good job I had just been in holiday and had pics of 'before' I could send them.....hopefully should be looking a bit better in the hair department later today....

Somebody posted that they were good for washing down UPVC windows - not tried it myself so can't personally vouch for it.:D
