Government FirstBuy Scheme - *Information only* thread

Hi everyone,
Please read this before posting on this thread
Following a previously posted thread, I'd really like to find out some more information about the Government's FirstBuy Scheme. I'm not looking for a debate about the pros and cons of the scheme but rather how I'd take advantage of it and where I could do so.
Please note: I am not committed to taking advantage of this scheme but would be interested in researching it myself, in addition to some helpful information from some of you
Mods - Please do not merge this thread with the other one. I am purely looking for information here about the scheme and not the merits and drawbacks of shared-equity schemes as a whole.
Thanks to anyone who may be able to help
Stu
