Hi,
I have started to recieve several letters from Lowell company with regards to several debts I got years ago.
I was advised on here to send out a letter stating Statute barred
I now have a reply saying they still have a legal right to recover the debt as I made a last payment on 18th May 2005.
What do I do now??
I am struggling to live at the moment so paying out more money well I have no idea how i will achieve this...

Did you?
Did they provide any proof to back that up?
Lowells have a habit of making up convenient payments that they simply can't prove actually happened.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Sweet!
Should that paragraph be made to stand out by being red and in bold type?
It should be.
That is a case of throwing Lowells own letter wording back in their face.

I expect they might still argue and whine, but if they haven't got any proof on the payments they claim, then it's just tough on them.
Send it today? Why not.
