What do I do with Debt collection agency

Options
Hi,

I have started to recieve several letters from Lowell company with regards to several debts I got years ago.
I was advised on here to send out a letter stating Statute barred
I now have a reply saying they still have a legal right to recover the debt as I made a last payment on 18th May 2005.
What do I do now??
I am struggling to live at the moment so paying out more money well I have no idea how i will achieve this...

    Did you?

Did they provide any proof to back that up?

Lowells have a habit of making up convenient payments that they simply can't prove actually happened.

    Sweet!

Should that paragraph be made to stand out by being red and in bold type?

    It should be. :D

That is a case of throwing Lowells own letter wording back in their face. ;)

I expect they might still argue and whine, but if they haven't got any proof on the payments they claim, then it's just tough on them.

Send it today? Why not. :)
