ShooDoo Demise?

Options
Looks like Shoodoo are in trouble:

"We regret to advise that due to trading difficulties the business is ceasing taking any new orders and the directors are taking advice as to the financial position of the

company. We are informed that some orders can not be completed due to problems which have arisen with warehousing and missing stock.
We ask that no more returns are sent back until further notice. More information will follow. We apoligise to all our customers who have been effected
."

We just returned an item to them prior to this announcement - unfortunately it was lost in the post. We have proof of postage and ShooDoo paid for the postage BUT the insurance was no where near enough, and now this.... looks like we are going to lose the boots and the money :(

I have just got home and have received a letter from them 'To All Known Creditors'. It says the date of resolution for voluntary winding up is 5th April. Definately don't hold out any hope of my order being fulfilled.

I have read elsewhere on here that if you paid by debit card (Visa) you can ask the bank to make a 'charge back' and this should get a refund :-) Although to be honest I'd better check with the bank to see if a payment was actually taken in the first place.

On a lighter note what this does mean is that I will HAVE to go shopping for the shoes instead ;-)

That's right, I paid by Visa debit so I'm sending a letter to my bank asking them to go for a charge back.

I paid for them mid February, they arrived (eventually, took ages) and then we returned them but they have never arrived at shoodoo, apparently.

    Will see what comes :D

Hi , the same situation has occured with me, do you know the postal address that Shudoo used, I need that to try to get compensation from Royal Mail ?
    Thank you.
  • I have a slightly different issue. I bought my daughters Uggs in December, and they have since developed a fault (a hole has appeared on the top of one of the boots). Since i cant return them to Shudoo, can i return them to UggAustralia UK as the manufacturer?

I don't know what the rules are, I'd say if you have proof of purchase and they are mentioned on the Ugg website as an authentic seller of Ugg boots then go for it, what have you got to lose but a few minutes writing up an email?
