Mazda New Car discount

I have been given a letter by Mazda which entitles me to money off a new car at a Mazda showroom in Surrey.
I don't know much about it but it can knock off a few thousand (up to £4k)off one of their cars. The more you spend the more you save from what I can make out.
Apparently it is a new thing and only a few people people from each garage are handpicked supposedly by Mazda to receive them as a 'loyalty' offer (since we have a fairly new Mazda car).
This is separate from any discount a showroom would offer so I've been told, the sales staff don't appear to know much about it and have to look up details on the computer. You can do a part exchange but don't have to.
We don't have a need to change either of our cars currently but apparently we can pass on the discount to family or friends. I don't know how common these offers are or whether garages always offer 'special' deals when walkings into them. I don't trust car salespeople whatever they say.
If anyone is on the verge of buying and live around surrey PM me and I can give more specific details of where I am and the garage is and we may be able to come up with some arrangement. I don't know how long this offer would last -when asked they didn't say, perhaps it is just a gimmick that happens often I have no idea.

Sounds like a marketing ploy to me,I would go some where else ,get the price down without a part exchange ,then produce the discount from the other garage ,if they will not honour ,then go back to the original garage, tell them what you did ,then you will see if you had been specially selected. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0
